FAMS 2800: Teaching Human Sexuality

Web Resources for Statistics

You will need to demonstrate the importance of your proposed educational program in your proposal. Statistics can help with this! For example, if your program is about teaching practices to prevent sexually transmitted infections (STIs), one way to demonstrate the importance of this topic would be including statistics on the prevalence of STI diagnoses in your community. Scholarly articles often include statistics like this, for the same reason of demonstrating the importance of the research included in the article. However, these statistics are often out-of-date, especially if the article was published a few years ago.

The following web resources can help you find more current statistics and related research related to your topic!
