Module 15 readings

Introduction

Two readings have been selected to help you understand the complexity of disasters and how best to deal with them.

The first explains how emergency managers and others worked together to overcome the challenges that were presented when an earthquake impacted Magna during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The second article describes the problems made evident during Winter Storm Uri, and how emergency managers and others worked to address challenges relating to traffic accidents, the loss of power and water, and the needs of those affected by the compound event.
