Each UVU department has an assigned subject librarian you can contact for help locating research and using library resources, identifying possible publishing outlets, and determining how often and where you've been cited. If you have a student research assistant or research team, you are more than welcome to direct them to your subject librarian for library instruction or help developing a literature review search strategy. Your subject librarian can also purchase new books and videos for the collections, in support of your research or classroom curriculum.
Find your librarian and their contact information using our Subject Librarians list.
Our Course Reserves help connect students with the library resources they need to succeed in your classes. Copyright assistance is available to help determine what resources can be used in your classroom or Canvas course.
To add materials to reserves or for questions about these services, see our Reserves for Faculty page.
Faculty can check out the following equipment from the library at no cost:
The George Sutherland Archives hosts a variety of physical and digital collections related to UVU and local history. Archives and digitization librarians regularly collaborate with faculty so that students can have an opportunity to work with archival materials. In addition, they also work with faculty to archive documents and materials that may be of scholarly value.
The library values purchase suggestions from faculty, to assist in developing a library collection that aligns with UVU's academic curriculum and to ensure students and faculty have access to the materials they need to succeed. You can make purchase suggestions two ways:
Subject librarians can help you learn more about and locate open educational resources (OER) in your discipline. More details are available on the library's OER page.
